Veterans: Private Sessions

The Xena Project offers private simulator sessions, lessons in horse handling, and animal encounter experiences at no cost to veterans.  We also offer one-on-one peer counseling, and have a licensed mental health expert and chaplain available for care.

The veteran determines what course they would like their individual sessions to take – some focus on physical therapy, while others are determined to heal heart and mind.  Some veterans visit once a week, some once a month, some several times a year.

The Xena Project maintains a running list of veterans interested in private sessions; many interested individuals first visited as part of a group day.  Immediate family members are also eligible for private sessions.

Want to help a veteran continue their healing journey?  Donate, and see your contribution make an immediate impact.  A private simulator session is $60 for a one-hour ride; horse handling and ground lessons are $45 for an hour-long session.  Donations are tax-deductible to the full extent of the law.
