Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Force and The Xena Project

On Thursday, May 5th, The Xena Project had the privilege of speaking to the Fort Bend Sheriff’s Critical Incident Response Team about our programs.

Founder Jan Shultis, Chaplain Bill Hogan, and Clinical Director Sherry Cardinal each spoke briefly about the Xena philosophy, organizational history, current needs in Fort Bend County from our perspective, and programs.  Then, the Critical Incident Response and Xena teams brainstormed ways the organizations can work together, including use of resources at The Xena Project by referral, direct outreach to the Critical Incident Response Team should an incident occur, and enhanced training for Xena team members.

The Xena Project welcomed the first direct referrals from the Sheriff’s Force that same week, and looks forward to a strong partnership going forward.
